Microneedling

Lotus Aesthetics & Wellness is pleased to offer two distinct types of microneedling to our patients.

PRP microneedling, also known as vampire facial or vampire facelift, is a cosmetic procedure that combines two popular treatments: microneedling and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. This combination is designed to rejuvenate the skin, improve its texture, and address various skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and uneven skin tone.

PRP is a component of your blood that contains a high concentration of platelets, growth factors, and other bioactive proteins. It is obtained by drawing a small amount of your blood and processing it to separate the PRP from the rest of the blood components. The PRP is then applied to the skin during the microneedling procedure.

PiXel8-RF microneedling is one of the safest and newest RF devices available today. It uses bipolar radio frequency energy sending heat deep into the epidermis. The procedure stimulates the production of collagen and regenerates elastin cells thereby tightening the skin. It dramatically improves jowls, fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars and skin laxity.

The device was rated "The Best Skin Smoothing Treatment" by Cosmopolitian 2022 Holy Grail Beauty Award.

What are the benefits of Microneedling?

Microneedling can significantly improve skin texture by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, two proteins that contribute to skin firmness and elasticity. This can result in smoother, more even-textured skin.

  • Reduction of Fine Lines and Wrinkles

  • Reduction in Visible Scarring

  • Enhance Skin Tone and Elacticity

  • Reduction in Hyperpigmentation

What is Platelet-Rich Therapy (PRP)?

PRP is a component of your blood that contains a high concentration of platelets, growth factors, and other bioactive proteins. It is obtained by drawing a small amount of your blood and processing it to separate the PRP from the rest of the blood components. The PRP is then applied to the skin during the microneedling procedure.

Here's what happens during a typical PRP microneedling session:

•First, a small amount of blood is drawn from your arm, similar to having a blood test.

•While the blood is being processed to isolate the PRP, the treatment area on your skin is cleaned and prepped.

•Next, the microneedling device is used to create micro-injuries on the skin's surface. This stimulates collagen and elastin production and prepares the skin for PRP application.

•The PRP is applied topically to the treatment area. The tiny channels created by the microneedling allow for better penetration of the PRP into the skin.

•The combination of microneedling and PRP helps to enhance the skin's texture, minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduce the visibility of scars, and improve skin tone and elasticity.

Is Plate-Rich Therapy (PRP) Safe?

PRP Is Derived From Your Blood, Making It A Safe And Well-Tolerated Treatment. Allergic reactions and adverse side effects are rare since the PRP is sourced from your body.

Does Microneedling Reduce Fine Lines and Wrinkles?

Microneedling is effective at reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Over time, as collagen levels increase, the skin becomes plumper and more youthful-looking.

How Does Microneedling Reduce The Appearance Of Scars?

Microneedling can help diminish the appearance of scars, including acne scars and surgical scars. The micro-injuries created by microneedling stimulate the skin's natural healing response, which can lead to improved scar texture and reduced visibility.

Does Microneedling Reduce Sunspots And Age Spots?

Microneedling can be effective in reducing hyperpigmentation issues such as sunspots, age spots, and melasma. The treatment encourages the shedding of damaged skin cells and promotes the growth of healthier, more evenly pigmented skin.
