PRP is a component of your blood that contains a high concentration of platelets, growth factors, and other bioactive proteins.
It is obtained by drawing a small amount of your blood and processing it to separate the PRP from the rest of the blood components.

What is Platelet-Rich Therapy (PRP)?

Here's what happens during a typical PRP microneedling session:
•First, a small amount of blood is drawn from your arm, similar to having a blood test.
•While the blood is being processed to isolate the PRP, the treatment area on your skin is cleaned and prepped.
•Next, the microneedling device is used to create micro-injuries on the skin's surface. This stimulates collagen and elastin production and prepares the skin for PRP application.
•The PRP is applied topically to the treatment area. The tiny channels created by the microneedling allow for better penetration of the PRP into the skin.
